About

This journal follows my journey from fear into faith as I respond to the call of Jesus to share his transforming love with those who suffer. In 2025, I experienced a vocational awakening that changed the script of my life. Less me, more others. Less indulgence, more compassion. Less fear, more courage to go into the dark places where the love of Jesus is moving. — Benjamin

Why dawn shadows?

There can be darkness without light, but there can be no shadows without light. The darkest places in the world are not hopeless and forsaken. They are shadows formed as evil confronts the sunrise of Christ's coming. The starkness and definition of these shadows bears witness not only to the lingering brokenness of the world but to the dawning presence of goodness. As children of the light we are called not to avoid the dark places but to bring the light of Jesus there.
